How I can improve my Holga?
I have a Holga 120N (my first Lomography camera) with the rear of 35 mm and I just got my prints back. Only about 15% of them came out I was expecting something, and I was happy with what came out. The others looked overexposed and blurry, and good mix with those who do not succeed. I did not do any recording, however, because he wanted to develop my first roll of film and then see what he had to do. In addition, most of my pictures had a red bar at the bottom and a reddish hue, which I like, but I wonder whether this is due to a leak of specific light or not. Should I make some kind of mod or tape for more photos out, is a question of how I loaded / deleted from the movie, or is the way I was taking photos? I kept it in the configuration of N, adjust the focus of what seemed appropriate, the film wound in the right way, and that the lens cap off. Or is just a learning experience? Sorry I sound so naive!
Part of learning, knowing what you can shoot with a Holga (or anyone else for that matter). I know a guy after 40 years knows that exposure by looking at his palm. The other part is, well, that's a Holga. The red lines and nonsense is the reason to get one. If you want to clean up photos so you can focus to get a pin sharp face ETC Minolta Nikon 35 mm. Can now be had used for Less Than a Holga if you're lucky. But mostly it's about knowing if it is too dark or light to shoot within the limits of what your camera can do.
